The second “Mojarra and Beer Festival” is held in the Magical Town of Yuriria from July 15 to 17. Today, Miriam Adame Alcaraz, director of Tourist Intelligence of the Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato; Ma. de los Ángeles Lopez Bedolla, Mayor of Yuriria; and Miguel Cano, organizer, presented the event that positions the gastronomy and reactivates the economy of the place.
The mojarra is one of the main dishes of the Magical Town of Yuriria, “this element is a source of employment for boatmen, fishermen and traditional cooks,” said Mayor Lopez Bedolla.
The event will gather 20 traditional cooks from the region; 100 artisans from Celaya, Cortazar, Salvatierra and Penjamo; and a cast of 20 local artists. This festival activates the different service providers such as hoteliers, restaurateurs, tour operators, boatmen and fishermen.
