The Young, a priority for the Government of the People

Regina Trujillo, General Director of Juventudes, highlighted the commitment of the State Government to focus its efforts on young people

The “Jovenes con Rumbo” program of YouthBuild Mexico has benefited more than 1,050 young Guanajuatenses

For the Government of the State of Guanajuato, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the young Guanajuatenses are a priority, as their participation is crucial in building a better future.

“Youth are a priority for the People’s Government; thanks Governor, for deeply believing in the young and creating a government that puts them at the center. Each of you represent a different story, but you have one thing in common: the courage to never give up,” said Regina Trujillo, general director of the Juventudes Institute.

The Official represented the Governor at the graduation ceremony for the fourth generation of YouthBuild Mexico’s “Jovenes con Rumbo” program, where 185 young people from the municipalities of Leon, Silao, Guanajuato, and San Miguel de Allende received their high school diplomas.

Since 2017, this NGO in Guanajuato has served more than 1,050 young people whose academic education was cut short for various reasons and who are seeking a second chance to resume their life plans and access better professional and personal opportunities that will improve their quality of life and that of their families.

“Life presented me with a test, and I had to start from scratch. But hope returned, and I found it in Jovenes con Rumbo. I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish high school and felt out of place. It was a decision that opened the door to a complete change in who I am,” said Wendy Juarez, a program beneficiary.

The People’s Government, through the Juventudes Institute, reaffirmed its commitment to continue offering growth opportunities to the young Guanajuatenses of the State of Guanajuato, prioritizing their comprehensive development.
