The Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, SEG, Delegation II, through the School Zone 505 of Official Secondary Schools, held the 1st Robotics Exhibition, where more than 60 students from Doctor Mora, San Luis de la Paz, Tierra Blanca and Victoria, met to exhibit their most innovative and creative technological projects.

The event organized by the work team of zone 505 took place at the facilities of the Official Secondary School of the municipality of Victoria, bringing together more than 350 members of the education community to witness the talent, enthusiasm, skills and potential in STEM areas (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), which is reinforced from the classrooms.

During the exhibit, students demonstrated their programming, design and assembly skills by presenting unique projects ranging from autonomous robots to artificial intelligence systems designed to solve everyday problems, including robots made from recycled materials.

Veronica Amparo Hernandez Camacho, Head of the Department for the Strengthening of Learning, said that, “Today we celebrate the creativity, inventiveness and learning that robotics brings with it. In this scenario, where technology and education intertwine, we are witnessing something more than robots and circuits. We are seeing the future in action: curious young minds exploring, designing and building solutions to real-world challenges.”

She added that, “Robotics in education empowers students to become critical thinkers and collaborators. Through robotics, we cultivate skills such as problem solving, creativity, teamwork and communication, to lead the way towards a more innovative future.”

Marisa Miroslava Bautista Romero, School Supervisor of zone 505, said that the activity was created so that students could discover the potential they have within, “you are very talented, you have demonstrated it in different activities, and today is no exception, feel proud of your work and the guidance of your teachers.”

Teacher Ivan Hernandez, in charge of the robotics subject at the Victoria Official Secondary School, said that, “because Mindfacture is being promoted in Guanajuato, it is important that from this level we direct students towards the STEM area, so that they know what a robot is, its functions, so that they learn to program and develop logic and imagination to solve problems.

The event featured guest students fromthe municipality of Xichu who closely observed each project, as well as a robotics team from CECyTE, Tierra Blanca campus, with a large exhibition of their work in order to inspire and motivate the students to continue exploring and developing their skills.

The Secretary of Education of Guanajuato recognizes School Zone 505 of Official Secondary Schools for fostering scenarios where new generations can visualize a future full of technological possibilities.
