Governor closes the activities of the 5th edition of Industrial Transformation Mexico 2023

“Young people are taking the future in their hands, and what better place than the Industrial Transformation Mexico of the Hannover Messe, which is the great platform for technological entrepreneurship and the most important Industrial Fair in Latin America”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor led the award ceremonies of the Vehicle Design Contests; and Conversion to electric vehicles Heading towards Electric Mobility, and the awarding of winners of the Startup Pitch 2023.
The objective of the Vehicle Design Contest was to design and develop 100% electric vehicles in two categories: single-seat and support, to put into practice the knowledge and skills of high school and university students and thereby promote Industry 4.0.
31 teams were registered for the single-seater vehicle category and 19 in the support vehicle category.
According to the call for vehicle design, support was granted for 400 thousand pesos in total, 20 thousand per team, for the manufacturing, acquisition of materials and construction of the single-seat and support vehicle.
The winning teams are:
Single-seater:
- 1st place: Felinos La Salle Bajio. U. de La Salle Bajio. Prize: 100 thousand pesos
- 2nd place: Lobos Ibero Electro Team Racing. Universidad Iberoamericana Leon. Prize: 75 thousand pesos
In Support Vehicle:
- 1st place: REMAIX, SABES Leon. Prize: 100 thousand pesos
- 2nd place: Movil TBC, Community Telebachillerato (TBC) El Penon, Apaseo El Grande. Prize: 75 thousand pesos
Honorable mention for:
- Lobos UPJR. Juventino Rosas Polytechnic University by maximum speed reached on the circuit
“Best technical report”:
- E-UPIIG Racing, from the Interdisciplinary Professional Engineering Unit, Campus Guanajuato
Conversion to electric vehicle:
- 1st place: Electro-Tzinacua, CECYTE Silao
- 2nd place: SABES UNIDEG Apaseo El Grande
- 3rd place: CONALEP Moroleon
The 2nd Electric Skateboard Contest was also held in order to build a prototype of an electric skateboard for scientific, technological and sustainable mobility development with the aim of contributing to the training of students and teachers of Higher Secondary and Higher Education.
There was an award for Startup Pitch 2023 Award, Startup Pitch is a competition that promotes innovation in Industry 4.0 with the aim of helping to generate an innovation ecosystem in the country.
The finalists participated with a 3-minute pitch questions and answers from the jury, which included different actors from the ecosystem with experience in investment and with investment thesis where the bases of this call fit, as well as other Government allies, academia or companies, as well as the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
Finalists:
- Comtrade, EVA VR TRAINIG, Neobrutal, Plastic & Devil ride Delivery, Verde Compacto Mexico, and MonitorApp, the winner.
The selected project will be given a stand for participation at the Hannover Messe in Germany in the Young Tech Enterprises area.
In the event, the Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, received recognition and a tribute from the Italian German Exhibition Company Mexico, for his support of Industrial Transformation Mexico.
The Governor gave recognition to the volunteers who participated during the development and organization of the fifth edition of Industrial Transformation Mexico (ITM) 2023.
“I feel very proud of the work we have done at the ITM, thanks to our friends at the Hannover Messe for trusting Guanajuato, a great alliance has been made to strengthen this ecosystem of the Valley of Mindfacture,” said Rodriguez Vallejo, who congratulated the participants of these contests.
Bernd Rohde, CEO of Italian German Exhibition Company Mexico, highlighted the legacy that the Governor of Guanajuato has left in these five years in youth and businessmen.
