Among those benefited by the Guanajuato Health System are young Guanajuatenses who do not have any health insurance, announced Dr. Daniel Diaz Martinez, Secretary of Health of Guanajuato.
Young Guanajuatenses can join voluntarily if they do not have a social security insurance, such as IMSS or ISSSTE or SEDENA or PEMEX.
To be protected the following requirements must be presented:
- Contigo Si card
- Voter credential INE
- Letters of non-entitlement to any health insurance
The Health system covers:
- Medical care, surgical, pharmaceutical, hospital, maternity and medication
In the case of maternity, care is provided during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium.
- Through the Gto Health System, more than three million Guanajuato residents benefit from having more than three hundred medical interventions and treatments for more than 1,800 illnesses and up to 700 different types of medications available free of charge.
Guanajuatenses can go and receive free medical attention in the 630 units of the Secretary of Health distributed in the 46 municipalities, as well as receive supplies and medicines completely free.
Having this system will no longer represent a high or catastrophic expense for Guanajuato citizens, like some diseases such as cancer or care for premature births that require intensive care.
