Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo led the opening ceremony of the 3rd International Congress of Women and Business Leaders, organized by CONCANACO and held at the Bicentennial Theater.

After welcoming the attendees, Libia Dennise emphasized that this International Congress, in addition to representing a platform for exchange and reflection, is an act of recognition of the strength, intelligence, and vision of women, who daily strengthen and transform the business, labor, and social structures of our country.

The Governor, thanked the President of CONCANACO SERVYTUR, Octavio de la Torre, for choosing the city of Leon as the venue for this Congress and recognized the work of the members of CONCANACO SERVYTUR, which has established itself as the largest business organization in Mexico.
“Having women leaders from different states here is really exciting for us, because by being together, we are sowing a seed that you will sow in each of your environments to continue building a Mexico that is inclusive of women’s leadership,” said Libia Dennise.

The Governor added that “united, we will move forward to build a Mexico where everyone is equal; where everyone here can have the same opportunities. We fight from many trenches, and the business sector is one of those arenas where women continue to fight for their leadership and to exercise the vision that women have in decision-making.”
“In Guanajuato, you have an allied governor who is working hard to empower women,” said Libia Dennise.

The event was attended by the President of CONCANACO SERVYTUR, Octavio de la Torre de Steffano, who recognized the leadership of the Governor of Guanajuato.
The Governor of the People presented the keynote address “Leadership,” in which she recognized the legacy of women who, through their work and example, paved the way for women today to have greater opportunities to improve.

“And behind us, more women are coming to continue making a difference. I invite you to fight together, because we are allies. Each one has a story, which is surely a story of struggle, one that is not without its difficulties”, said Libia.
“Let us join together on this path to continue achieving equality; and I feel very proud on this path I’m taking in Guanajuato and having the support of so many women. And in Guanajuato, you have an ally to promote women’s leadership,” the Governor said.
