Women entrepreneurs are strengthened with scholarships and equipment

The Secretary of Economy provided in-kind support to more than 100 entrepreneurial families for more than 2.4 million pesos

With an investment of over 2.4 million pesos, support of the ‘My Business Forward’ Program was delivered to more than 100 families in the south of Guanajuato; in addition, 18 women received certificates of training of the Beauty Stylers course in Huanimaro.

The administration led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo promotes entrepreneurship and training as self-employment alternatives to improve the quality of life of Guanajuatense families.

The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, said that through training and in-kind support, the economy is balanced by bringing opportunities to all areas of Guanajuato that improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.

“We are gathered here today to celebrate your initiative and enthusiasm to move forward and we recognize the courage you have shown in undertaking and building your own dreams (…), the People’s Government is committed to you, because we believe in you and in your ability,” he said.

Villaseñor said that, with the self-employment strategies, the beneficiaries begin a new stage in their lives for their personal and professional growth that allows them to provide for their families.

During the working tour, furniture, equipment, and tools from the “My Business Moving Forward” program were delivered to beneficiaries of the municipalities:

• Abasolo, Cueramaro, Huanimaro, Irapuato, Jaral del Progreso, Moroleon, Penjamo, Pueblo Nuevo, Salamanca, Santa Cruz de Juventino Rosas, Santiago Maravatio, Uriangato, Valle de Santiago, and Yuriria

These support programs aim to promote self-employment in coordination with the Secretary of Economy, the Secretary of the New Beginning, the Institute for Women of Guanajuato, and the State System for the Integral Development of the Family.

Furthermore, through the Training Scholarships in their self-employment modality, the trained women received professional training to strengthen their skills to develop a productive activity on their own account focused on hair cutting, makeup and hairstyling.

The People’s Government, through the Secretary of Economy, reaffirms its commitment to bring opportunities to all of Guanajuato for the prosperity and improvement of the quality of life of the people of Guanajuato.
