The Government of the People joins any initiative that contributes to strengthen the lives of women and eradicate all types of violence against them, said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, during the morning press conference, led by President of Mexico at the National Palace.

The Federal President presented the Comprehensive Care Program for Women’s Well-being (PAIBIM), which is implemented in conjunction with the states of the Republic, including Guanajuato.

“We are very pleased because this new strategy will allow us to provide women with legal, psychological, and comprehensive support. In Mexico and in Guanajuato, women are not alone,” said the Governor.

“We celebrate this initiative and are fully committed to it. We appreciate the Federal Government’s commitment to join this effort with the States,” said Libia Dennise.

Through an agreement signed between the Government of Mexico and the People’s Government, more than 22.5 million pesos will be guaranteed in Guanajuato in subsidies to the Institute for Guanajuatense Women to implement the project in the PAIBIM.

This will allow for the establishment of 19 LIBRE Centers in Guanajuato, through which comprehensive services for women will be provided.

“I celebrate this effort. In Guanajuato, we will have 19 Free Centers in 17 municipalities, two in Leon and two in Celaya, which are added to this effort we have undertaken with the Allies Strategy, which includes more than 20 programs,” said the Governor of the People.

Libia Dennise mentioned the Pink Card programs, which strengthen women’s economic independence; the Pension Action Program, which seeks to promote the well-being of Guanajuatense children so that mothers are not solely responsible for their support; and the Shelter Network, which will be strengthened with the strategy announced this morning; as well as the Gender Violence Response Police Station.

“Recently in Guanajuato, we are promoting the evolution of our Women’s Institute to transform it into the new Secretary of Women, in line with the Secretary created at the federal level, aligning visions and proposals,” said the Governor of Guanajuato during the remote communication.
