Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo launched the vaccination campaign for the 2025-2026 winter season.

The goal is to administer more than 1.7 million doses of influenza vaccine, 522,000 doses of Covid 19 vaccine, and 264,000 doses of pneumococcus vaccine, across all the health institutions participating in this campaign, said Libia Dennise.

The Governor emphasized that vaccination is a commitment to protect lives, protect our families, and act as a community in prevention.

So, in this great vaccination campaign that will end in April 2026, we need to get vaccinated, because it’s also an act of love toward the people we love, said Libia Dennise.

People who should be vaccinated in this campaign are primarily:

  • Children between 6 and 59 months of age
  • People between 5 and 59 years of age with comorbidities such as diabetes, obesity, and chronic respiratory diseases, among other
  • Adults over 60 years of age and pregnant women

And this will be carried out in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, with permanent and semi-permanent posts and mobile brigades.

The Governor congratulated the entire team at the Secretary of Health, as well as institutions such as the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), ISSSTE, PEMEX, and SEDENA, which are part of the State Vaccination Council and will be carrying out this major campaign.

Libia recognized all the healthcare workers: those in hospitals, clinics, providing care in the city or rural communities, in brigades, and at vaccination centers, “thank you all for your dedication and your drive to serve the health of Guanajuato’s families”.

And something very important, noted the Governor, vaccination is free and universal said.

The Governor invited people to take an active part in this campaign: seek information at health centers, visit vaccination centers, and communicate the importance of vaccination in your communities. And support those who need help getting vaccinated.

“Let’s raise awareness about this vaccination campaign, because it will help us protect those we love most, our families in Guanajuato,” said Libia Dennise.
