The 2025-2026 Winter Campaign has begun, distributing blankets to vulnerable people in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato

The Governor Libia Dennise led the kickoff ceremony of the 2025-2026 Winter Campaign, through which the State DIF System and the People’s Government distribute blankets to vulnerable people in the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato.
“It is a pleasure to launch this program, which aims to give a warm embrace to the families who need it most, to reach every corner of Guanajuato, to the most remote communities, to ensure the well-being of Guanajuatenses,” he said.
This year, the State DIF will distribute 40,000 blankets “because we want to reach more families who need this support, especially when the arrival of 48 cold fronts is expected this season”, said Libia Dennise.
This campaign has a preventative character, because what it’s about is avoiding risks, taking care of our families before the cold can cause illnesses or accidents, said the Governor.
In Guanajuato, we work as a team when it comes to helping people. Therefore, we recognize the State DIF (National System for Integral Family Development); the mayors of our municipalities; the 46 Municipal DIF Systems; Civil Protection; and the People’s Volunteers for their generosity, commitment, and for making this campaign possible, the Governor emphasized.
“For every blanket that reaches a family, we are sending a message that in Guanajuato we are supportive, that we work as a team for our people,” noted Libia Dennise.
