With the participation of 27 artisans from six municipalities and various craft varieties, the 2025 Summer Craft Festival is held until August 3 at Plaza de La Paz 14 in Guanajuato City.

Led by State Governor Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo, this festival seeks to strengthen traditional sectors through marketing opportunities that celebrate the beauty of handmade art.

The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, emphasized that creativity, tradition, and identity come together to offer visitors and locals an unforgettable experience. This event also represents a significant boost for Guanajuato’s handicrafts.
On this festival, teachers and master craftsmen from the following municipalities participate: Guanajuato, Leon, Irapuato, Cortazar, San Miguel de Allende and Dolores Hidalgo CIN. These teachers and master craftsmen present diverse products such as: agro-foods, leather-footwear, crafts, supplies, textiles-fashion, developing industries, among other.

Admission to the festival is completely free, and the opening hours are Monday through Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Summer Artisan Festival is an invitation to reconnect with Guanajuato’s roots by showcasing the work of artisans who, with patience and dedication, transform materials into true works of art.

Furthermore, this event is a unique opportunity to promote local consumption, directly supporting Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) that keep the State’s cultural identity alive.

Villasenor Aguilar called for people to consume local products and keep Guanajuato’s traditions and identity alive through products that capture the essence of the region.
