Libia Dennise acknowledged that there are graduates from other states in the country, reflecting the national impact of UVEG

The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, led the Extraordinary Graduation Ceremony of the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato (UVEG) 2025, held in the Poliforum of Leon.
“What a privilege to be here with you to share a moment that will be etched in your hearts, as well as in the heart of your families, because with their words of encouragement they have brought you here today, receiving this recognition,” said Libia Dennise.
The graduation:
- At this Extraordinary Ceremony, 455 people graduated
- 58 are from General High School
- 327 are from Bachelor’s degrees and engineering programs
- In fields such as: Industrial Engineering, Pedagogy, Law, Human Capital Management, and Computer Systems
- 68 master’s degrees
- In Education and Teaching Innovation
- 2 doctoral degrees in Innovation
Libia Dennise said that “it is a pleasure to see 1,700 people gathered at this ceremony; among graduates, family members and teachers, for one reason only: the triumph of discipline, of education and the triumph of a dream that no one gave you, you earned it!” said the Governor.
Libia Dennise acknowledged that at this event, there are graduates from other States of Mexico, which reflects the national impact of UVEG, which was founded 18 years ago and has become one of the most important virtual universities in the country.
“By achieving this goal, you are an example of overcoming adversity, because you represent a history of struggle and hard work,” said the Governor.
“What we seek in Guanajuato is that all people have the opportunity to continue preparing; that is why today at UVEG we also receive students from other states of the Mexican Republic and from other countries, which is a reason for great pride,” said Libia.
So far in 2025, 8,556 UVEG students have completed their studies, including those graduated in this ceremony.
The Rector of UVEG, Ricardo Narvaez Martinez, also congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to continue their studies. “You have already fulfilled one dream, but now there are other dreams to achieve, so keep studying.”
The graduates come mainly from Guanajuato, with 306 people, in addition to students from 26 other States in Mexico.
Currently, more than 108,000 active users participate in one of the programs of UVEG, and the institution has already produced 73,978 graduates from its various formal offer.
