The Technological University of Leon held the flag-raising ceremony for eight students who will represent the institution in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Colombia as part of UTL’s internationalization education project, through the “Lionesses and Lions Around the World” initiative.
Jose Christian Padilla Navarro, Rector of the Technological University of Leon noted that by 2025, 27 students and four faculty members from the university will have benefited from funding covered by UTL’s own income. The Rector emphasized the importance of students and faculty having these type of experiences to broaden their worldview and contribute to their life plans.
The student who will represent UTL on this academic mission are:
Engineering in Production Systems, going to Colombia:

- Evelin Cristina Llamas Villegas
Engineering in Virtual Environments and Digital Business, going to Spain:
- Fernando Guerrero Perez
- Christian Armando Vazquez Ramirez
To the United Kingdom:
- Luis Angel Emmanuel Becerra Ontiveros, in Tourism Management and Development
- Jeremy Zabad Alvarez Hernandez, Production Systems Engineer
- Ramirez Ponce Laura Esmeralda, in Gastronomy
- Juan Alexandro Lopez Herrera, in Gastronomy
