The strategic accord has as its objective to promote dual training among the staff in the footwear sector

Leon/Gto News

The Technological University of Leon -UTL- and the Chamber of the Footwear Industry of the State of Guanajuato -CICEG- formalized a collaboration agreement that strengthens the link between the educational sector and the industry, marking a significant advance for the development of the footwear sector in the region.

The agreement will allow engineering and university graduate students to participate in a dual training model within CICEG affiliated companies. This model integrates academic theory with work practice, fostering the development of skills that prepare students for the challenges of the professional environment.

Lucia Herrera, director general of CICEG, noted that this initiative is the result of the industry’s ongoing efforts to consolidate strategic alliances that benefit both the business and academic sectors. “This agreement is an example of how joint work can generate positive impacts to strengthen both sectors,” said Herrera.

The rector of the UTL, Jose Christian Padilla Navarro, stressed the importance of this type of agreement for the comprehensive development of students. “Our institution seeks to be a key ally for the footwear sector, not only in Leon, but in all of Mexico. Commitment is demonstrated with actions, and rest assured that we will continue to provide what is necessary to strengthen this industry,” said Padilla.

This agreement not only promotes the comprehensive training of students by linking them with the productive sector, but also reinforces UTL’s commitment to an educational offer that responds to the needs of the labor market and contributes to the economic development of the region.

With this signature, the Technological University of Leon reaffirms its mission of training highly qualified professionals, while strengthening its role as a strategic partner for the growth of the footwear sector in Guanajuato.
