With the firm purpose of strengthening the local and regional economy, the People’s Government, in coordination with the municipality of Villagran, established a strategic alliance aimed at supporting merchants, farmers, entrepreneurs, and industrialists: sectors that, day after day, work in the State’s productive fabric.
In a reunion with local merchants, Ivon Padilla Hernandez, Director of the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Finance and Support Agency, spoke about this collaborative effort, which emerged in response to the real needs of those who create jobs, produce food, promote innovation, or run family businesses that are an essential part of our State.
“We’re here to inform you about what we’re doing with the State Government, in this New Beginning led by our governor, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo. This is the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency. This financial institution is new,” said Padilla.
“What did the governor ask of us when she had this financial institution in mind? She told us, ‘you know what?, we need financing to support all our Guanajuatense residents, so that everyone has the same opportunities, so that everyone can access this financing. We have hard-working people who want to get ahead,’” said Ivon.
Cinthia Guadalupe Teniente Mendoza, mayor of Villagran, said that this alliance reaffirms that economic development is not built from a desk, but from the ground up, by listening to people and generating tangible solutions.
“Today, I’m grateful to this financial institution for being in our municipality to be part of this interest on your part. I know you, I see your familiar faces. Your main activity is commerce, and I’m glad you’re here, because this way you’ll be able to take firm steps with truly firsthand information,” said Teniente.
“Because it’s not the same as you going to the City Hall and getting information at that window that’s already set up, and sometimes there are still questions, and I hope that today, all those questions will be cleared up,” said the Mayor.
This office will be located in the Economic Development office in the City Hall, downtown.
“Our governor, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, is deeply committed to seek and offer alternatives that help you move forward, and this funding is one of them. It represents a living network of tradition, financing, local development, and job creation in the neighborhoods,” said Griselda Velazquez, Director of Commerce and Supply of the Secretary of Economy.
The regional offices of the You Can Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency are located in the municipalities of León, Celaya, Dolores Hidalgo, Irapuato, Moroleón, San José Iturbide, and Silao in the Inland Port.
With the opening of this module, the total number of municipalities with a service window is 28:
