The financing program of the Government of Guanajuato helps change and impacts in the life of entrepreneurial women and young Guanajuatenses

For Maricruz Yeraldi Hernandez Acosta, the Creemos en Ti program, from the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency, represented a major economic boost for her small business.
Originally from the community of San Ignacio de Hidalgo, in San Francisco del Rincon, she dropped out of school at an early age to pursue a career, although her dream is to return to education to be better prepared for the future.
She’s a young single mother with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. She recently decided to open a waffle, fries, dorilocos, and milkshake stand in her own home.

Through friends and acquaintances in her own community, she learned about the Creemos en Ti support and saw it as a real opportunity to inject investment to grow her business.
“I registered on the financial institution’s website, and within a few days, they called me to attend a workshop. I attended the workshop and really liked the way they motivated us to believe in ourselves and gave us advice on the best way to run a successful business, no matter how small,” she said.
After taking the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop and submitting her application for support, Maricruz was selected to receive the one-time, non-refundable We Believe in You grant of seven thousand pesos.
“Here I am, this program is real. I want to tell people and the young who want to start their own businesses that this is real, without any pressure or anything. What Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo promised is real. From one woman to another, thank you so much,” she said excitedly after receiving the support.
With the check in her hands, Maricruz explained that she will use this money to purchase tables, displays, and merchandise to strengthen her business.
Support for entrepreneurship
The “We Believe in You” support program is primarily aimed at women and young entrepreneurs from rural communities with some degree of economic vulnerability, who want to start a business or who already have a small business.
To date, more than 1,959 “We Believe in You” grants of 7,000 pesos each have been awarded, representing an investment of 12.8 million pesos. The majority of the beneficiaries have been women between the ages of 18 and 64 from different municipalities.
Support is provided through regional calls for proposals published on social media and the official Tu Puedes Financial and Support website.
Those interested in participating in the program must register for the Call and attend an Initial Entrepreneur Workshop, which is a prerequisite for continuing with the program. Once they have completed the Workshop, they must submit their application, documents, and business investment projects for evaluation.
The annual goal for 2025 is to deliver 3,500 grants.
