The technological development and innovation have a new ally through financing for the sector in the State

With the goal of launching the growth of technology companies, the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency held a working meeting with members of the board of the National Chamber of the Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Industry (CANIETI).
Ivon Padilla Hernandez, Director General of the agency, presented the credit programs offered by the State organism to address the needs of the sectors that make up and drive our economy.
“What we want is to support people who want to move ahead. That’s Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo’s vision: that no one is left behind and that everyone can access this financing,” said Ivon.
“Especially these young people who have ideas, which are good ideas and which can generate income, and maybe one of them could become a great business, well, they also know that they can count on the support of the State Government, with this financial institution that has low interest rates,” said Padilla.
At this meeting, flexible mechanisms, support for working capital, software license purchases, and loan options for infrastructure acquisition were detailed.
Padilla Hernandez said that these instruments seek to facilitate access to resources for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as for entrepreneurs who are part of the digital and innovation ecosystem in the region.
Jorge Solalinde Mora, President of CANIETI, noted the importance of having financial partners who understand the specific challenges of the technology industry, the rapid evolution of markets, the need for constant investment in talent and equipment, and the urgency to scale operations with agility.
“These options are super affordable, and I was surprised because at one institution we approached, what they offer here as an annual interest rate, they offer as a monthly interest rate of 6 percent,” said Solalinde.
The President said that more than 50 information technology (ICT) companies operate in Guanajuato, and there are around 1,000 in the rest of the country, according to data from the GTO Tech cluster. This sector includes developers and the presence of data centers and other important technological projects in the State.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to inclusive and participatory economic development to consolidate Guanajuato as a hub of technological innovation with more and better opportunities for its people.
