In a decisive step toward strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Guanajuato, the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency and the ProEmpleo Leon Foundation formalized a strategic alliance by signing a collaboration agreement.
Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of Financiera de la Gente, explained that the agreement seeks to strengthen the capabilities of local entrepreneurs, especially those in vulnerable situations, through access to financing, training, and comprehensive support, and that it turns into a gateway to growth.
“What do most people who own businesses need? Liquidity, that push, that drive. Often, people are just starting their business and need financing, but so do those who are already well-established, who already have a well-established business but want to continue developing,” said Padilla.
“We’re bringing nine financing programs ranging from 10,000 pesos to 3 million pesos. Why? Because you are very important to this government, because we know you’re the ones who drive the local and regional economy and who employ people with experience working in a formal business,” said the Official.
Ivon said that the main purpose of this agreement is to provide concrete tools so that entrepreneurs can transform their ideas into sustainable businesses.
This includes:
- Access to flexible loans tailored to the real needs of each project
- Business, accounting, and sales training programs offered by ProEmpleo Leon
- Personalized support at key stages of entrepreneurship: from planning to consolidation
Padilla said that the focus will be on female heads of household, young people without access to formal employment, and people with ongoing productive projects. In addition, a support module will be opened so that entrepreneurs can complete their procedures more directly and easily.
Santiago Morales, interim director of the ProEmpleo Leon Foundation, said that through practical training, the program provides experience in business development, with workshops that strengthen administrative, digital, and sales skills.
And by having a support network: Beneficiaries will be able to join a community of entrepreneurs, facilitating the exchange of experiences and opportunities for collaboration.
“Here, in particular, Tu Puedes Guanajuato supports many people in learning how to grow and get started, through much more practical, realistic, and flexible financing designed for entrepreneurship,” said Morales.
“We also become a one-stop shop, explaining how it works and supporting part of the financing process with Tu Puedes Guanajuato,” said the Director.
This collaboration represents a model of coordination between the financial and social sectors, demonstrating that economic development can and should be inclusive, sustainable, accessible, and humane.
