“The People’s Government, through the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Fund, has decided to invest heavily in what truly makes our State great: Creativity, effort, and the ability of people to undertake”, said Ivon Padilla Hernandez, Director General of the agency.

Padilla led the eighth distribution of these one-time grants for 7,000 pesos, promoted by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the delivery of grants was held in the municipalities of Valle de Santiago and Irapuato, but also benefited residents of Pueblo Nuevo and Salamanca.

“I want to tell you that this is real support, and our Governor is truly delivering. She’s a woman who says: we have to move forward at the same pace, both men and women. That’s why we have to encourage and support them, this workshop and this financial support are for you,” said Ivon.

“Without forgetting the young people who have great ideas, I see several here, but sometimes they need that drive, that push to move forward. This is what this support represents, We believe in you,” said the Official.

Ivon said that “today we celebrate brave women and determined young people who dared to speak out and say, ‘I want to build my own path!’ as a synonym for what it means to be an entrepreneur, to improve life with ideas, courage, and a desire to grow”.

We believe in you is a sign of support that shows trust in the people of Guanajuato, their talent, and that opens the door for your business dreams to come to reality.

“The money they gave me will help me buy more things for my business and expand it further. I hope all my colleagues know how to use it, because there are quite a few of us, and with this support, I feel very happy and proud to have been chosen. Thank you, and I’m ready to give it my all,” said Caro Rodriguez, from the community of San Jeronimo in Valle de Santiago; Caro represents the Otomi indigenous community; for her, having this money means expanding her small business where she sells gorditas and quesadillas made with chickpeas and wheat.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, head of the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Financial and Support Agency, told attendees in the event that when a woman dares to undertake a business, she changes the history of her family.

When a young person starts a project, they spread hope to their entire community; and when hardworking people receive the right support, the local economy flourishes.
