The Association of Industrial Supplying Companies of Mexico –APIMEX-, launched the course of shoe pattern design with the well known Italian school Arsutoria, from June 6th to July 1.
The training gives participants basic knowledge on techniques to develop shoes, from the concept, pattern, up to its manufacturing. The course includes 120 hours of learning with a teacher from Arsutoria. The teacher comes from Europe and has experience in international top brands, basic tools for pattern design, presentation of international fashion trends and a fashion dossier.
The course, one of its kind in Mexico, is for designers, creators and modelists, whom as the course finishes will receive a certificate that is valid in many countries issued by Arsutoria, this certificate is the same that the student would receive if he or she studied at the Arsutoria school in Milan, Italy.
The course is supported by the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development of Guanajuato, and companies from Guanajuato can be supported to get scholarships for their participating workers.
For 18 years, APIMEX and Arsutoria have had a collaboration agreement to train shoe professionals, and until now 569 designers and modelists from different parts of the world have been trained in this program by APIMEX.
