The Cuture Institute of Leon –ICL- presents different artistic expressions with the identity, memory and intangible heritage of the City of Leon.
“Viven La Pasion”
The program “Vive la Pasion 2022” is held from March 25th to April 12th, with presentations of music, workshops, photograph expositions and other artistic events with the cultural tradition of Holy Week as the central theme.
Images for ever
The program starts on March 25 at the Main Square in the San Juan de Dios borough of Leon with the outdoor photo exhibit ‘Tradition in Leon”, the photos are by Hari Seldon, Omar G. Ramirez, Alejandro Fuentes Barajas, Ana Rosa Escobar and Maria Gomez Bulle.
Also music
On Thursday April 7 you can enjoy the Academic Camerata of the Music School of Leon at the Museum of Leones Identities at 6pm.
The Altar
Also in this Museum the altar to the Virgin of Dolores will be set up, it will be presented with the Typical Orchestra of Leon on April 8 at 5pm.
Easter Bunny
On Sunday April 10 there is the workshop “Packaging of the Easter Bunny” where you can learn how to fix and package easter bunnies, it is presented by Tanna Estudio starting at 11:30 am.
During the program there will be a contest of Lent cuisine “The 7 pans… ¿Which is your favorite?” which identifies and promotes the gastronomy of Leon during this season with 3 times menus with traditional flavors and process.
A concert
The program comes to its end with the concert by the Symphonic Students Band Pedro Jimenez Rosas on Tuesday April 12 at the main square of San Juan de Dios at 6pm.
All the activities are free and people should observe the health protection protocols to preserve people’s health.
