The cultural expressions of Guanajuato and its municipalities will be promoted in national and international events.
Maria Teresa Matamoros Montes, Secretary of Tourism and Adriana Camarena de Obeso, General Director of the State Institute of Culture, signed an agreement of collaboration to promote the culture and tourism of the State.
This strategic Alliance includes the participation of Guanajuato at the events “Mexico in the Heart of Mexico”, in Mexico City; at the National Activations “Visit Guanajuato”, by the Secretary of Tourism in different cities of Mexico, this year they will be held in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City; and “Flavor is Polanco”, the most important gourmet festival in Mexico.
Lots of events
The cultural expressions of Guanajuato will also be present in the most important event of the tourism sector: The Tianguis Turistico 2020, in Merida, Yucatan; at the Hiroshima Festival of Flowers, in Japan, one of the biggest and most important events in Hiroshima; at the Baja Culinary Fest, an event that brings together the best of gastronomy in Tijuana; as well as in different events in the Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario, in Silao.
Some artistic expressions of Guanajuato that will be presented in these events are The Estudiantina of the University of Guanajuato, the folkloric dance group “Torito” from Silao; and the music of the Dolorense composer, Jose Alfredo Jimenez; as well as the Guanajuatense gastronomy, among other cultural elements.
A treasure city in itself
Guanajuato is a destination with traditions, culture and tourist treasures. The municipalities of Guanajuato have emblematic buildings and impressive architecture; the colors and flavors of the food of the State are a referral in the world; that is why the Secretary of Tourism and the State Institute of Culture are promoting both sectors in important events.
Guanajuato offers unique experiences as we walk on its alleys and plazas, listen to local music by local producers, know the history of ancient buildings and taste its delicious gastronomy
