Thousands of Guanajuatenses are trained for work

More than 69 thousand Guanajuatenses have been benefitted hrough the BécaT program in its three modalities: self-employment, for work and at work

The goal is to improve the competitiveness of the talent of Guanajuato to increase their employability

Through the BécaT training program, 69,712 people in Guanajuato have been benefited in the current State Administration.

The head of the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development –SDES-, Ramon Alfaro Gomez, noted that –in the State Government, led by Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo– they are working on programs and actions that address the need to generate more and better jobs.

In 2023 alone, more than 8 thousand people have benefited from this program in its three modalities:

• Self-employment training
• Training for work
• On-the-job training

In this period, people were trained in the profiles:

• Production, cargo transport, harness production, assembly, sausages, administrative assistant, personnel transportation, etc

With the professionalization of these people, Trainers increased the competitiveness of the sectors:

• Food, automotive-auto parts, commerce, transportation, manufacturing, services, metal-mechanics, leather-footwear-supply, textile-clothing, plastic, chemicals, crafts, construction, among other

BécaT is a strategy for the benefit of Guanajuatenses so that they are trained with an economic stimulus in profiles that the labor market demands to later be hired or promote self-employed productive activity through a trade.

The general objective of the program is to develop and implement comprehensive actions aimed at improving the conditions of:

• Employability, self-employment, employment relationships, business and sector development, job training and job creation

The link between the State Government and private initiative has allowed Guanajuato to rank as the 5th economy of Mexico, since specific programs are carried out according to the vocations that need to be developed in each region.

The State Government, through the SDES, is working to promote the professional development of Guanajuato residents towards a better quality of life and to contribute to the development of companies by meeting their requirements for qualified labor.
