Fourteen thousand attendees tasted the delicious ice cream made in Dolores Hidalgo CIN, Leon, Guanajuato, Salvatierra, Celaya, Jalpan de Serra, and Queretaro on the 4th. Edition of the National Ice Cream Fair, an event that was held April 28 to May 1.
This year, more than 20 ice cream makers from these 7 destinations, working in the Ice Cream Pavilion, set up in the Main Square, delighted people coming from:
- Guanajuatenses (59%)
- Visitors from elsewhere in Mexico (38.1%)
- Tourists from Japan, China, United States and Italy (2.4%)
- Ice cream makers registered total sales for:
- 795 thousand 844 pesos, statistics reported by City Officials
According to reports from the Hotel and Motel Association and the Tourism Promotion Council, general occupancy was 67%, which implies 536 occupied rooms out of the 800 available.
The Fair was elightened in this edition with a Gastronomic Pavilion, with the sale of dishes from El Llanito and El Molcajete de La Abuela and a Craft Pavilion, with products from the region.

National Fair of Ice Cream we had the opportunity to taste the ice cream, the gastronomy that is promoted through the Public Program ‘Guanajuato Sí Sabe’, and appreciate and buy GTO Brand handicrafts”, congratulated Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, to Adrian Hernandez Alejandri, Mayor of Dolores Hidalgo CIN.
