The first Guanajuato residents born in 2025 were born in Public Hospitals of the Ministry of Health. The first Guanajuatense of the new year 2025 was born at the Celaya Maternity Hospital.
This is a child measuring 49 centimeters in height and with a gestational age of 39 weeks and weighing 3 kilos and 150 grams.
At one in the morning this birth was attended to via cesarean section for the mother named Marisela Landin Presa, originally from the municipality of Celaya.
One minute later, at the San Luis de la Paz Maternity Hospital, the northeast of Guanajuato received the first Guanajuatense of the region. It is a girl with a weight of 3 kilos, 215 grams and 51 centimeters tall. The mother, named Alma Rosa Olvera, was treated in a timely manner.
The Secretary of Health, Gabriel Cortes Alcala, recognized the effort and professionalism of the staff who were involved in the process of caring for the birth of the first Guanajuatenses of 2025.
At the Maternal and Child Hospital in Irapuato at 1:19 a.m. and 20 minutes past 1:00 a.m. on January 1st, twins came into the world, weighing one kilo and 600 grams and one kilo and 130 grams, and measuring 35 centimeters and 38 centimeters respectively in height.
At 2:13 a.m. on January 1st, Marieta del Rocio Morales Garcia, originally from Leon, brought into the world the first Leones of the year at the Leon Maternal and Child Specialty Hospital. She is 48 centimeters tall and weighs 2 kilos and 900 grams and is named Allison Miranda.
The Secretary of Health urges pregnant women in Guanajuato to undergo proper prenatal care. More than 120,000 births are reported each year in the 46 municipalities and within the Guanajuato health network.
