The Secretary of Public Security of the State Alvar Cabeza de Vaca Appendini and his work team, held a follow-up meeting as part of the handover process with the next Secretary of this Agency Juan Mauro Gonzalez Martinez and members of his team.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the State C5i System of the State Public Security Secretary in the Guanajuato Puerto Interior park, where Secretary Alvar Cabeza de Vaca stressed that he is leaving behind a modern, strengthened Public Security Secretary with great results in favor of building peace and tranquility for the Guanajuatense families.

The State Secretary of Public Security explained to the future officials the organic structure of this Department, which has two important Undersecretaries:

• The Undersecretary of Security
• The Undersecretary of Prevention

Secretary Alvar Cabeza de Vaca Appendini stated that he leaves behind a solid and strengthened Institution, for example, with a State Police which is the State Public Security Forces, with tangible results in favor of building more and better public security.

Alvar pointed out that the work of the FSPE yields important results because it has a 90 percent effectiveness rate throughout Guanajuato, with respect to arrests made for the commission of crimes and the seizure of illegal objects, as demonstrated by the statistics of the State Attorney General’s Office.

Alvar said that he leaves behind areas that are today very strong, fully modernized and cutting-edge, at a national level, such as the State Penitentiary System, the State Public Security Training Institute, the General Directorate of Reintegration for Adolescents, the State Coordination of Civil Protection and the entire issue of social prevention of violence and crime, through the Undersecretariat of Prevention.

Meanwhile, the next head of the State Public Security Secretary, Juan Mauro Gonzalez Martinez, thanked Alvar and recognized that it reaches one of the largest Secretaries of the State Government, but also one of the most important in Guanajuato.
