The Governor, on the program Connecting with the People, talked about the activities with Marca GTO to consolidate projects of Guanajuatense entrepreneurs in events like the Leon State Fair

“At the Leon State Fair, we are supporting more than 1,000 micro, small and medium-sized businesses that are exhibiting and selling their products in the People’s Pavilion; and in the Guanajuato Si Sabe Pavilion, with 24 traditional cooks,” said the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.

The Governor presented the program Connecting with the People ; where Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, Secretary of Economy, participated to talk about the activities that have been carried out through Marca GTO to consolidate the projects of Guanajuatense entrepreneurs in events such as the State Fair of Leon.

For this purpose, the presence of Rocina Renteria Rosales, an entrepreneur participating in the People’s Pavilion (Artisalis company); Jesus Ramirez Martinez, an entrepreneur participating in the People’s Pavilion (Serramia company); and Sara Arvizu Rico, a traditional cook and entrepreneur participating in the Guanajuato Si Sabe Pavilion, who shared their experiences in positioning their projects in the national and international market.

Cristina Villaseñor explained that the People’s Pavilion is a space promoted by the State Government through the Secretary of Economy to strengthen the competitiveness of Guanajuatense companies, promote their local identity, and generate new jobs. Here, people can find products such as cajeta (a type of caramel), hats, leather goods and footwear, handicrafts, tequila, mezcal, wines, sweets, bread, cheeses, and other products that represent Guanajuato.
Villasenor said that due to last year’s success, the People’s Pavilion was expanded, now featuring 247 exhibitors in Hall B300, where Marca GTO is located; 354 exhibitors and 8 commercial showcases in Hall C3, 138 exhibitors in Hall C5, and 61 exhibitors in Hall C3 and the Mezzanine.

Entrepreneur Rocina Renteria Rosales spoke about her company, Artisalis, which produces and sells natural and flavored fleur de sel (flower of salt), as well as seasonings. Founded in 2020, the company aims to create gourmet salt, focusing on natural and flavored fleur de sel. It’s a pure and healthy product that enhances culinary creations. Through the support and guidance of Marca GTO, they have established a strong presence in the market and are now exporting their products.

Entrepreneur Jesus Ramirez Martinez, of the company Serramia, specializes in the production of high-quality vegetables using protected agriculture methods. He adheres to strict standards of food safety, traceability, and consistency. His approach led to the creation of Crunchy Serramia, a line of plant snacks made from fresh produce. This unique product combines nutrition and innovation, is the only one of its kind on the market, and thanks to the Marca GTO program, it is already being exported.

And Sara Arvizu Rico is at the Guanajuato Si Sabe Pavilion, which features 24 traditional cooks from Guanajuato’s seven tourist regions. They are also known as ancestral cooks. She is from San Jose de Iturbide and offers delicacies such as nopalitos revolcados con Chilcague (a signature dish of our mestizo cuisine, prepared with roasted nopales and chilcague, an ancestral root of great cultural value; a stew of longaniza sausage, chickpeas, and nopales with secom chili).
The Governor invited Guanajuatenses to visit the Guanajuato Pavilion; “come and buy local, learn about the work of our entrepreneurs whom we will continue to support through Marca GTO so that they can continue to consolidate their projects.”
