The Governor announces a decree as Guanajuato commemorates the 200 anniversary of the End of the War for Independece in Mexico
Guanajuato is the Craddle of Mexico’s Independence, and it is a reson of pride for all Mexicans

In a visit to this Municipality and as part of the Commemoration of the 200 Anniversary of the End of the War for National Independece, Governor of Guanajuatom, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, issued the Government Decree that grants the -Grito de Dolores- the status of Cultural Intangible Heritage of the State of Guanajuato.
Decree Number 91
In a Solemn Session of the City Council, Governor of Guanajuato and the President of the Commission of Commemoration 2021, signed the Government Decree Number 91, that declares the Ceremony of the -Grito de Dolores- as Cultural Intangible Patrimony of the State of Guanajuato, as an expression of traditional and popular culture, declaring of public interest to safeguard the ceremony, said the Governor.
Together as Mexicans
“Guanajuato has been, is and will be a main character in National History, we will remain present in the important moments of our Country. From here, we will keep working for national unity, defending and promoting the values that keep us together as Mexicans”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
Love for our Nation
“We will go on working for our country to go ahead in its development. From Guanajuato we will maintain alight the flame of love for our Nation, the will for freedom and for a better quality of life, for all. Because Mexico Was Born Here, and because Guanajuato is the Greatness of Mexico”, said the Governor.
A sovereign nation
This decree, said the Governor, supports a civic celebration that is a central part of national identity, where the pride and patriotic feeling of Mexicans for a free, sovereign nation is lighted, and from Guanajuato, we honor the memory of our national heroes, those who gave us our Country and our Freedom.
“From Guanajuato, the ¡Viva Mexico! sounds louder, because it is the Craddle of National Independence”, said the Governor.
