This Saturday, March 2, at 1 p.m., the “Cervantine Days of the MIQ” begin with the inauguration of the exhibition “Don Quixote I am” at the Old Railway Station of the Secretary of Culture of the Municipality of Querétaro in collaboration with the Iconographic Museum of the Quixote -MIQ-, from Guanajuato.

The Conference will feature editorial presentations from the MIQ, puppet shows, recreational workshops, artistic talks, sales of MIQ books and recitals with soloists from the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature -INBAL-. The activities are free and are for all audiences.

On Saturdays, March 2 and 23, there will be editorial presentations at 1:00 p.m. to talk about books, reading, and the richness of Mexican literature and languages.

On Saturdays, March 9 and 30, and April 20, they present puppeteers from “Sara Zepeda and her theater company” and at 1 p.m., they will present: “The Village of Vegetables and Other Visitors,” “Miguel the Ingenious” and “Flower without root”, presentations based on books published by Ediciones MIQ, the Museum’s publishing label.

On Saturdays, March 16 and April 6 at 1:00 p.m., La Manchita MIQ, a children’s cultural center, will offer recreational workshops to encourage reading and the arts in childhood.

On Saturdays, March 9 and April 13, there will be concerts with soloists from INBAL at 7 p.m.

Finally, on April 27, the Cervantine Days conclude with the talk “Iconography and deconstruction of Don Quixote” at 1:30 p.m. and the concert by Ignacio Mariscal, cellist of Fine Arts, at 7 p.m.

The Iconographic Museum of Don Quixote (MIQ) is located in the heart of the city of Guanajuato, Gto. It has been a reference for Cervantism in Guanajuato and in Mexico for more than 36 years, a space that invites us to preserve the love of books, the arts and utopia, just like the figure of Don Quixote and his faithful squire.
