The GTO Recharge2 League Robot Battle concludes with extraordinary semi-finals and finals

The 4 winning teams in each category will travel to South Korea from November 10 to 21

The Guanajuato Education Secretary -SEG- successfully celebrated the second edition of the Recharged2 Robot Battle, held from September 17 to 20 at the Palenque de la Feria de Leon.

In this event, 72 teams from education institutions from 22 municipalities of Guanajuato met to face a series of challenges that tested their ability, strategy, creativity, and technological and scientific skills.

The teams that stood out and obtained the champions’ trophy, in addition secured their ticket for a cultural and robotics experience in South Korea, to be held from November 10 to 21.

The winners are:

• In the 14-pound Secondary category, the Bumblebee team from General Hilario Medina Secondary School was crowned champion
• In the 14-pound Upper Secondary category, the Aztrobots team from SABES Atotonilco took first place
• In the 23-pound Upper Secondary category, the Der Denker team from the University of Celaya was the winner
• In the 120-pound Superior category, the Lobotronic team from the Juventino Rosas Polytechnic University (UPJR) was crowned winner

These four teams demonstrated outstanding skills in the design, construction and programming of their robots, as well as remarkable creativity, passion and innovation during the combats, aligned with the different education levels.

Aldelmo Emmanuel Israel Reyes Pablo, Undersecretary of Upper Secondary and Higher Education, thanked the education community for its commitment in making this event possible, highlighting that the best teams from the entire competition were present on the final day.

The battles were intense, with robots demonstrating precision, speed and strategy, while the teams impressed with innovative designs, resilience and adaptability to the changing conditions of the competition.

A special moment was the presence of Mr. Ishan Patni and Mr. Monank Vijayvargiya, representatives of TechFest, the most important robotics festival in Asia. Their visit was aimed at selecting two top-level teams to represent Guanajuato at this prestigious event, which will be held in Bombay, India.

The chosen teams, regardless of the results of the battle, were:

• Robotic Roadrunners of the Universidad Politecnica Bicentenario (UPB), second place in the university final
• Circuit Breaker from the Instituto Tecnologico Superior de Guanajuato (ITESG)

The awards ceremony recognized the effort and dedication of all participants, whose talent has inspired future generations of engineers and scientists to continue exploring new technologies in the fascinating world of robotics.

The Recarga2 Robot Battle is now established as a milestone in the history of robotics in Guanajuato, providing an exceptional platform for students to demonstrate their talent, creativity and knowledge.
