Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo presided over the opening ceremony of the 93rd edition of the Leather and Footwear Fair (SAPICA), with the motto “Future with Memory.”
SAPICA brings together more than 2,000 footwear and leather goods brands; more than 380 exhibitors; 2,700 buyers; and 28,000 visitors.
This year’s edition will host the twenty-seventh Latin American Footwear Forum, organized by the Association of Footwear Chambers of Latin America. The forum brings together 13 Latin American countries to develop a joint agenda on innovation, sustainability, international trade, and the defense of fair competition.
The Italian Expo Riva Schuh & Garda Bags fair is also present at this edition.
The Governor reiterated her support for the footwear industry, which is going, said Libia, through difficult times due to unfair competition, which requires us to be more united than ever.
“Now is the time to forge alliances and cooperation agreements for the good of the industry”, said Libia Dennise.
