The opening of the 2026 Leon State Fair will be free of charge, allowing thousands of Guanajuato families and visitors to enjoy this great celebration from the very first day.
This action, led by the Governor of the State, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, reaffirms the commitment to place people at the center of public decisions and to bring emblematic events closer to the entire population, without economic barriers.
This effort was joined by the Municipality of Leon, which granted an additional day of free access on January 20, as part of the commemoration of the 450th anniversary of the founding of the city, strengthening the joint work between the State and the Municipality to consolidate the State Fair of Leon as an inclusive, accessible and people-friendly event.
For this edition, the 2026 Leon State Fair projects receiving more than 6 million visitors, who will be able to discover and enjoy the cultural, gastronomic and productive treasures of the State through strategic spaces such as:
- The Guanajuato ¡Si Sabe! Pavilion, with a gastronomic sample representative of the seven tourist regions of Guanajuato
- The presence of Marca Gto in the People’s Pavilion
- The traditional Livestock Expo, all events that bring the identity and local talent closer to audiences of all ages
- The fair also offers a wide range of free-access spaces and activities, including:
- The free access area in the People’s Forum, with 14 concerts
- Free access areas for world-class shows such as Disney: Where Dreams Are Born, Illusion on Ice and the Roberts Circus
This edition features the Solareon light and sound show, starring a gigantic lion commemorating the city’s 450th anniversary, in addition to multiple shows and presentations that are presented throughout the fair, consolidating the State Fair of Leon as the best family fair in Latin America.
The 2026 State Fair of Leon strengthens its family focus with an artistic, cultural and entertainment offer that integrates music, international shows, traditional expressions and community activities, with spaces designed for audiences of all ages.
With the Carpa de Colores, Viva Leon adds a family-friendly meeting point where color, imagination, and joy create the atmosphere. This space features concerts of funk, pop, ska, alternative rock, and electronic music, as well as urban dance performances, breakdancing, and magic shows. The Carpa de Colores is establishing itself as a must-see area thanks to its energy and its offer of music and fun in a vibrant environment.
The Carpa de las Tradiciones offers a festive and family-friendly atmosphere with regional Mexican music and other popular genres.
The 2026 Leon State Fair presents one of the most representative rituals of Mexico’s cultural heritage: the Voladores de Papantla, a tradition originating in the Totonac culture of Veracruz.
Body language also takes center stage with a mime show that transforms gestures into a universal language.
With over 20 years in the hip-hop scene, Soul Warriors delivers a spectacular show that blends urban dance, music, and acrobatics.
The 2026 Leon State Fair presents an immersive children’s show where kids feel like they’re inside the story.
“Quantum” by Illusion On Ice is an ice skating show that integrates acrobatics, visual art, and stage technology to create a contemporary, dynamic, and immersive experience.
The Circo Robert’s offers an intimate, authentic experience, capturing the spirit of the traditional circus at the Parque Ecologico de la Feria.
As a special experience for this edition, the fair presents SOLAREON, an audiovisual show that fuses music, light, and sound, where each rhythm and flash represents the strength and pride of the city. Its poetic interpretation defines SOLAREON as: “The golden entity reborn with the fire of the sun.”
The experience integrates thematic segments such as “Awakening of the Lion,” ” 450 Years,” and “The Cycle ,” with a sound and visual presentation that complements the atmosphere of the fair. Throughout this edition, SOLAREON becomes a commemorative symbol that reinforces the identity of Leon.
The 2026 Leon State Fair adds an urban and artistic experience with a themed parade designed to provide an enriching experience. The parade route covers approximately 4 kilometers on Sunday, January 18th, along Boulevard Adolfo Lopez Mateos, from Parque Hidalgo to the fairgrounds.
The León Fair ignites the ring with a night of spectacle and Mexican tradition. The event includes a special training exhibition, activities for children and families, and autograph sessions with wrestlers. The lineup features the best wrestlers from the region and the city.
The Foro del Lago presents a program designed to attract new audiences and strengthen its entertainment offer with live shows and intimate performances.
The Velaria becomes the music heart of the 2026 Leon State Fair, with a concert schedule that brings together genres such as pop, rock, regional and electronic, becoming the most important forum for international performances of the season.
