The tourist brand “Live Great Stories” will come to more tourist destinations all over Guanajuato
This program is working to create strategies and alliances and reactivate tourism in our State as well as create identity

Five months ago Guanajuato launched the new tourist brand “Live Great Stories” representd by a giant, attractive and colorful “G”, which has already been granted in the main tourist attractions of 10 municipalities.
The brand is granted
Since September 2020 until now, Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo and Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, the Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato, have visited each one of this cities, Magic Towns and Cities that are World Heritage Sites, where they have granted the brand to Mayors, the tourist sector, and representatives of the sites that are tourist attracions and to the Guanajuatenses.
Reactivate tourism
The goal of the brand “Live Great Stories” is to reactivate the 46 municipalities in Guanajuato, where a large variety of tourist products and adventure, cultural, romance, business, reunions, sports, gastronomy, luxury, religious and film products and sites are offered.
Today the giant letter “G” is at:
- Guanajuato City
- San Miguel de Allende
- Celaya
- Leon
- Irapuato
- Silao
- Salvatierra
- Jalpa de Canovas (Purisima del Rincon)
- Dolores Hidalgo Craddle of the National Independence
- Yuriria
Creating identity
“We must be proud of this brand because it creates identity, and we must be the main promoters of our attractions that bring more tourists who want to live new stories. The brand ‘Live Great Stories’ will come to more tourist destinations”, noted Alvarez Brunel.
Destinations that are granted the brand are well known for their history, culture, architecture, hospitality and for being recognized as the best cities to visit (as is the case of Guanajuato City and San Miguel de Allende), the cities have been recognized by specialized prestigious tourism magazines.
A great tourist destination
The brand also includes additional actions like the badge “Healthy Guanajuato”, which has the avail of the World Travel and Tourism Council, making Guanajuato the first non-beach tourist destination to earn the badge “Seal of Safe Travel”; it also includes the collaboration of the region to make posible short distance trips that make it posible to reactivate the tourist activity.
“The pandemic crisis has given us the opportunity to go deeper into history and the main features offered by our tourist destinations”, notes Alvarez Brunel.
