Young students from Technological Institutes in Guanajuato will be able to provide their social service at INAEBA. Working group held to define the collaboration route

Leon/Gto News

In order to strengthen actions against educational backwardness in Guanajuato and in all of Mexico, the Institute of Literacy and Basic Education for Adults (INAEBA) held a working round with the Technological Institutes of Guanajuato to outline the collaboration strategy, allowing young students to do their social service in this noble cause.

This effort arose from the signing of a General Collaboration Agreement by the INEA and the National Institute of Technology of Mexico (TecNM) on March 15, 2023. This agreement established the bases and mechanisms of cooperation for students, teachers and administrative staff to participate as education advisors, promoters and test administrators, in order to reduce the education gap in people aged 15 years and older who are illiterate.

The original agreement was valid until August 31, 2024, but has evolved with the incorporation of more Technological Institutes in Guanajuato, creating this new joint strategy with INAEBA.

Among the agreements signed, it was established that INAEBA mobile units will be available to support the Technological Institutes in the most remote communities. In addition, the importance of coordination with those responsible for each area was emphasized in order to optimize efforts and provide adequate support to the beneficiaries.

The agreement is aimed at people over 15 years of age and seeks to reduce the education gap in a process that, in the case of literacy, has an estimated duration of six months. With this scheme, a positive impact is expected on hundreds of young people and adults who will be able to access education opportunities and improve their quality of life.

There will also be three mobile units from INAEBA that will travel to different communities to facilitate access to education services. This strategy seeks to reduce the gap in access to education and improve learning conditions in hard-to-reach areas.

With this type of initiative, INAEBA and the Guanajuato Institute of Technology reaffirm their commitment to education and social development, providing training opportunities to both young university students and those who need it most in Guanajuato and in all of Mexico.
