Governor of Guanajuato ratifies Susana Guerra as Secretary for Migrants and International Affairs

The Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo ratified Susana Guerra Vallejo as Secretary for Migrants and International Affairs during the last National Meeting of Migrant Leaders, held in the city of Los Angeles, California.
The head of the State in his message to paisanos spoke of the institutional evolution that Guanajuato has had on the issue of migration, starting first as a service office, then becoming an Institute and finally, a Secretary.
“In this event is a woman whom I appreciate very much and I always thank her for her work and who is now in charge of the office, I am referring to Susana Guerra Vallejo and who at this time I am relieving of her position to name her head of the Secretary of the Migrant and International Affairs”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“Congratulations Susan! You have my backing and support as a secretary, you deserve it for being a hard-working woman”, said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo delivered 15 birth certificates to migrants from Guanajuato at a service fair that the Government of Guanajuato brought to the community that lives in the neighboring country to the north of Mexico.
He symbolically provided some lithographs of Guanajuato to migrant leaders and presidents of migrant clubs.
The Governor received a group of Silver Miners made up of 17 older adults, originally from the municipality of Abasolo, who had the opportunity to reunite with their migrant children whom they had not seen in at least ten years.
“Guanajuato stands out from the rest of the country, due to the attention and solidarity that is provided to the migrants from Guanajuato, but also to those who cross through our territory and to those who have decided to make our state their second home”, said the Governor.
The procedures that are provided to migrants are:
- Insertions of certificates
- Printing of birth certificates
- Corrections of certificates
- CURP print
- And other formalities
Susana Guerra Vallejo highlighted the tireless work of migrant leaders from Guanajuato such as:
- Andres Solis, with whom efforts were coordinated to hold the event
- Braulio Delgado from Washington
- Yesenia Rojas from Anaheim
- Martha Esquivel, leader of the Extraordinary Women Foundation, among other
“This is the home of migrants from Guanajuato and with this new post holder our commitment is redoubled to help improve your quality of life and that of your families”, sid the Governor.
Libya Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, head of the Secretary for Social and Human Development -SEDESHU-, recognized the importance of migrants for Guanajuato and spoke of generating more actions that improve their quality of life and that of their families.
