Students of SABES Valle de Jerez will travel to South America tro compete in the Infomatrix Ibero-America, besides the gold medal, they won two honorable mentions

With an outstanding scientific innovation project, students from the SABES Valle de Jerez evening high school won a gold medal in the 34th National Physics Apparatus and Experiments Competition, granting them the right to represent Mexico in the Infomatrix Ibero-America competition in Ecuador.
The project Acoustic Levitator, was presented in the Education Device category and captivated the jury with its creativity, functionality, and clarity of presentation.
In addition to this achievement, two other SABES teams also received honorable mentions. One was the ThermoVipPro project, developed by students from the San Isidro Vespertino school, in the Technological Device category. The other was the Runners2 project, presented by SABES El Vergel, Leon, in the Education Device category.
The 2025 edition of the competition was held from September 25 to 27 in San Luis Potosi, with more than 60 projects participating and over 200 high school students and teachers in attendance. Participants came from various states, including Coahuila, Michoacan, Morelos, Sinaloa, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, Veracruz, and the host state, San Luis Potosi.
The SABES delegation proudly represented Guanajuato with a total of nine teams competing in the Education Device, Technological Device, and Experimental Device categories.
The students demonstrated their organization skills, teamwork, and communication abilities by setting up their stands, presenting their prototypes, and explaining how they work to the specialized jury.
The main purpose of this competition is to foster interest in science and innovation among young students, encouraging the application of physics principles to solve real-world problems through original projects, also, it allows for the development of skills such as creativity, research, communication, and collaborative work.
SABES Authorities congratulated the students recognized with the gold medal and honorable mentions, and extends its appreciation to all those who represented the institution in this important national competition.
