Students show abilities in Scientific and Cultural Day

More than 350 SABES Baccalaureate students took part of the event “Peace and dignity in a healthy planet”

Jorge Enrique Hernandez Meza, Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, witnessed the activities of the State final of the Scientific and Cultural Day 2024 of the SABES Baccalaureate that were held at the facilities of the Guanajuato Bicentenario Park.

“Peace and dignity in a healthy planet” was the motto of the event that brought together more than 350 students from the 7 Regions of the SABES Baccalaureate, where they had the opportunity to show their talent in contests, exhibitions and activities of the curricular lines and of some artistic manifestations.

During the opening ceremony of the day, Jorge Enrique Hernandez Meza, was accompanied by Authorities and Officials of the SABES system.

“SABES has a special place in the education heart of Guanajuato and it is a pride for me to be with all of you. These types of exercises bring you closer to realizing how far you can go with what you have, I wish you a great day, because when you propose the impossible it is easier to reach the extraordinary, SABES is a great subsystem, a great institution and a great place to prosper, may it be a day of passion and success,” said Jorge Enrique Hernandez Meza.

The Director General of SABES invited the participants to make an effort and take advantage of this event that gives them the opportunity to show their natural talent for science, technology and various artistic manifestations, pointing out that this day is the platform for the students to be the stars that illuminate Guanajuato.

“Put your talents into action, this day serves as a projection for all of you and I ask you to enjoy this event that is held with your comprehensive training in mind, I wish you success and welcome”, said Lirio Lopez Herrera.

Year after year, the Scientific and Cultural Day of the SABES Baccalaureate seeks to promote in its students the knowledge, skills and attitudes established in the curriculum, in addition to providing them with spaces for participation, expression and creation of projects and works that have to do with science, art and culture.

Prior to this State event, during the months of March and April, the regional stages were held through qualifying events, where activities such as the Physics experiments and teaching and technological devices contest, the English marathon, singing, public speaking, the painting and drawing exhibition, among others.

In addition to the contests that took place during the 2024 edition of the Day, at the end, participants, teachers, advisors, administrative staff of the SABES high school and the judges of the various contests, enjoyed an artistic exhibition that included music and dances presented by high school students.

At SABES we recognize and promote the talent of our students through various programs and projects in which they develop and test their knowledge and abilities in various areas, thus contributing to their comprehensive training.
