A program by SEG and entrepreneurs in the North East region of Guanajuato gives access to ‘in the distance education’
Befeited students are now communicated with teachers and other students

To support education from home, 90 students received a new electronic device as a result of the 1st Campaign of Donation of Cellphones for the North East region of Guanajuato. The campaign has as a goal to increase the communication of parents and students.
Improving communication
The campaign is trying to improve communication among students, teachers and parents, and 90 devices were donated and given to recipients with all that is necessary to communicate via cell phone and WhatsApp. Also as part of the donations the group of organizers also received 3 tablets and 700 chips.
Beating obstacles
In Atarjea, as the devices were given out, Hector Teodoro Montes Estrada, the Regional Delegate, said that, “thanks to the effort and generosity of many people, we were able to go over the lack of communication that many households had, affecting many students who didn’t have a cellphone and now they are able to communicate and continue their education in the distance”.
Providing an advantage
Montes Estrada said that “students that were benefited with devices have an advantage as they now have free internet in their education centers where they can connect and continue their education”.

Covering many levels
The benefited students are from levels of education of later years of Elementary School and Secondary School who study in one of 97 rural education centers that have the internet service provided by SEG and who have a brother in higher education levels, in order to broaden the number of students benefited.
For the first time
Estrella Guadalupe Guerrero Gonzalez, a student of fifth grade of the Mariano Jimenez School from Atarjea, said she is happy to have, for the first time a cell phone that will let her know about homework and improve her grades, as well as get involved in the gadget users environment.
Easier access
While Isaac Rincon Montes, the coordinator of the TeleSecondarySchool 616, of Cerrito Colorado in Victoria, thanked for the cellphone that was given to her students Cecilia and Joselyn, both sisters, because the device will help them send their activities from the school, before they had to go to the homes of relatives to be able to send their homeworks to their teachers.
A campaign of many
This first campaign of donation was possible thanks to the collaboration of entrepreneurs of 8 municipalities of the North East region of Guanajuato, donors will receive evidence that their donation was turned to a students who is now using it fot his/her education.
