Through the Mi Compu GTO Digital Inclusion program, 100,000 computers have been delivered to improve the academic level of more Guanajuato students.
Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, led the ceremony for the delivery of 505 high-performance laptops to students in order to promote their academic development, enhance their abilities and personal skills.
The Governor said that in Guanajuato Authorities bet on the talent and ability of young students and that is why they keep being supported.
“Here their academic development is encouraged, and their skills and abilities are strengthened to better face the new global challenges, both technological and educational,” said the Governor.
Rodríguez Vallejo stressed that this digital inclusion program that the State Government carries out through JuventudesGTO is very important because the scope of the equipment that is being delivered today has the capacity to be used in sophisticated tasks.
For example, processing big data or Blockchain, interacting with external sensors or equipment, creating or participating in neural networks, among others. It is equipment that can be used by:
- Data scientists, industrial designers, biotechnologists, mathematicians, software developers, gamers, etc.
You have in your hands a powerful computer, of which you can take great advantage of. And that is the invitation that I extend to you today, make the most of it, said the Governor.
Through this program, which is an example in Mexico, 100,000 portable computers were purchased in 3 different ranges:
- Basic, intermediate and high-end
Investment:
- 820 million pesos
The units:
- 72 thousand 803 basic level units
- 26 thousand 347 intermediate level
- 850 high performance units
Benefited:
- 93 thousand 321 students
- 5 thousand 829 teachers
- 850 talented students
