The Secretary of Health is combating dengue with fumigations in Jaral del Progreso, Salamanca, Valle de Santiago, and Uriangato

The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato reports that, committed to protect the health of Guanajuatense families, health brigade personnel have intensified fumigation, larval control, entomology, and spraying efforts in various municipalities in the region.

In Salamanca, fumigation activities have been carried out in the Ecopark, the La Cruz, Las Flores, and Villa de la Paz cemeteries, and the Las Reynas, Humanista II, Villaverde, Villa San Pedro, Quinta Campestre, Cipreses, Lazaro Cardenas, Arboledas, San Jacinto, Albino Garcia, and Sardinas neighborhoods in the municipality of Salamanca.

In Valle de Santiago, work was carried out in neighborhoods such as Linda Vista, 20 de Noviembre, La Jaurilla, Loma Tendida, Emiliano Zapata, Leandro Valle, and the downtown area, in addition to thermal fogging actions in the communities of San Vicente de Garma, Zapote de San Vicente, La Loma, Miravalle, and Labradores.
In Jaral del Progreso, the Larval Control and Entomology brigades carried out house-to-house work throughout the community of El Molinito. Fumigation operations were also carried out in the aforementioned town, the urban area, and the community of Cerrito de Camargo.


Similarly, in Uriangato, work was carried out in the area surrounding the General Hospital and surrounding neighborhoods, with all Vectors members using specialized equipment to prevent the dengue mosquito.
These actions are part of the comprehensive strategy to combat dengue. Citizen participation is essential, and Authorities advised to:
- Wash, cover, turn over, and discard containers that accumulate water
- Keep patios and roofs free of clutter
- Allow health brigades access to your homes
