Education innovation is promoted through academic exchanges between the SEG and the Spanish Service for Education Internationalization

With the presence of more than 50 representatives of mid-superior and higher education institutions from both Guanajuato and Spain, the Education Liaison Reunion by the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education -SEPIE- and COEPES State Commission for the Planning of Higher Education, AC-was held.
This meeting opened an important space to explore new opportunities for international collaboration between educational institutions and thus enrich education in Guanajuato, an essential topic that the Government of the People promotes with education innovation to broaden the horizons of students.
The purpose of this exchange of experiences is also to connect higher education institutions in the State with Spanish education institutions.
Representing Aldelmo Reyes Pablo, Undersecretary of Upper Secondary and Higher Education of the SEG and Executive Secretary of COEPES, Jose Alberto Lopez Garcia, General Director of Higher Education, told the representatives of the Spanish Universities that the link with sister universities promotes the internationalization of young students, developing skills such as personal independence, improved self-esteem, personal and professional experience of living with different people from other countries, which also creates social and cultural links that develop their potential as students, future professionals and, above all, as people.
The representative of the Spanish service for education internationalization SEPIE, Raul Garcia Martins of the Professional Training Unit, added that visiting Guanajuato and initiating a link and exchange of experiences by education institutions, promotes the strengthening of cooperation relations in the university environment and acts as a point of contact for future exchanges by students from the Guanajuato and those from Spain.
Some specific programs on which they exchanged knowledge were:
- Micro-credentials
- Incoming and outgoing mobility
- Exchange of scholarship systems
- The experience of the Euro Postgraduate event, among other
SEPIE is an autonomous Spanish body for the internalization of education, which is also a Spanish national agency for the development and management of the ERASMUS program of the European Union in the field of Education and Training, which is part of the Ministry of Universities of the Government of Spain and within its functions it works to welcome students, professors and researchers in Spain and Spaniards abroad.
