To maintain the Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra road in Leon in the best conditions, this month, the Secretary of Public Works -SOP- is carrying out road maintenance work.
For this action, the Government of the People is investing 8 million 458 thousand pesos, which guarantees good road conditions, but mainly, offers greater road safety to the people, which is one of the instructions of the governor, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
Juan Pablo Perez Beltran, head of SOP, said that the works began on December 9 and have registered a progress of 3%.
The work, carried out by the company Primher Pavimentos SA de CV, will be carried out within a period of 75 calendar days and involves the intervention of 1.05 kilometres.
The work to be carried out consists of:
- Excavation, compaction of material, construction of hydraulic base, hot asphalt mix carpet; surface patching, re-leveling, placement of sealing irrigation tread layer, application of horizontal signage, recovery of carpet and hydraulic base, among other actions
“Following the instructions of Governor Libia Denisse, we concluded the year with the contracting of works, which ensures a start of 2025 with intense activity in terms of public works,” said Perez Beltran.
Officials said that the People’s Government through the SOP, works permanently in the conservation of the 2,800 kilometers of the State highway network, so that it is in good condition, ensuring that the people of Guanajuato who travel on it do so with comfort and safety.
