The Secretary of Public Works (SOP) began maintenance work on vehicular bridges in eight municipalities.
This was reported by the head of the Secretary of Public Works (SOP), Juan Pablo Perez Beltran, who noted that bridges are an essential part of the State highway network, and maintaining them in good condition guarantees the safety of users who travel on the roads where the structures are located.
“Following Governor Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo’s instructions to work continuously to make sure that the State’s highway network is in good condition, we have allocated nearly 15 million pesos to maintain vehicular bridges in eight municipalities across Guanajuato,” said the State Official.
Perez Beltran explained that work is currently underway on the structures located in Zones A and B, which encompass the municipalities of Victoria, San Jose Iturbide, and San Miguel de Allende, as well as Guanajuato, Irapuato, San Francisco del Rincon, Romita, and Manuel Doblado, respectively.
The Official said that exactly 14 million 714 thousand 653 pesos are destined to do the works.
All of these works together ensure the strength and capacity of the vehicular bridges, allowing safe traffic for State highway users.
An average of 156,000 vehicles travel daily on the State highways where these bridges are located.
