Since the night of Tuesday snow and sleet fall was registered in high areas of the North of Guanajuato.
Starting at about 8 pm on Tuesday, communities on the sierras of Guanajuato started to report low temperatures that went as low as minus 10 Centigrade degrees, besides gusts of wind of up to 35 kilometers an hour.
The municipalities that have registered snow and temperatures below zero Centigrade degrees are:
- Xichu, Atarjea, San Luis de la Paz, Doctor Mora, San Jose de Iturbide, Santa Catarina, Tierra Blanca and Victoria
Civil Protection Authorities are in permanent alert and monitoring to support civilians who demand some aid and those in risk due to the low temperatures.
Also, Authorities are advising Guanajuatenses to dress warm, stay indoors and protect in case it is necessary to go and do some activities outdoors.
The forecast is that freezing temperatures will remain until the weekend in all the State of Guanajuato.
