San Miguel de Allende is world-renowned for itsRomance Tourism, for the value chain, and for the professionalism of the event organizers, recognized Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato, during the inauguration of the new directors group AORESMA 2023-2025.
AORESMA (Association of Organizers and Venues for Events of San Miguel de Allende) will be represented by Martha Rocio Lopez Galvan, as President.
This AC has been legally established in San Miguel de Allende for 12 years and has 50 member companies, of which 35 are venues and 15 companies that organize events and experiences. All of them are professionals in planning weddings and business and social events, with hotels that offer quality stays, and venues specialized in holding festivals, exhibitions, congresses and conventions.
San Miguel de Allende, is recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site since 2008, “The City has had the focus of weddings for 20 years and, today, we see how it has grown and evolved,” said Alvarez Brunel.
“Today we see an integration in the value chain, in the venues, in the organizations. You, the wedding industry, are taking perfect advantage of the setting, history, and heritage of the destination, which has been the winner in 2022 as Best Wedding Destination, awarded by Mexico Desconocido Magazine,” applauded the Secretary of Tourism.
According to AORESMA, in San Miguel de Allende around 15 weddings take place every weekend, a figure that gives an average of 750 to 850 weddings a year, which have around 250 guests per event.
A wedding in luxury hotels, haciendas, vineyards, among other venues, generates a direct expense at the destination of approximately 7 thousand pesos per guest.

San Miguel is a favorite destination not only for weddings, marriage proposals, bachelor parties and honeymoons; but also has great professionals in the industry such as videographers, florists, caterers, venues, gastronomy, music groups, and more.
This destination, recognized internationally as Best City in the World, Best Destination in Mexico, Best City in Mexico and Latin America, and Best Small City outside the United States, offers beautiful settings and the most creative wedding planners in all of Mexico.
