The Secretary of Government, Jesus Oviedo Herrera, led a work and follow-up meeting for attention of the security of the electoral process with leaders in Guanajuato of the political parties PRD, PVEM, PAN, PRI, PT, Morena and Movimiento Ciudadano.

During the meeting participants agreed to maintain the support of Municipal, State and Federal Authorities in terms of:
- Security for the candidates
- Attention to protection requests for those who are participating in the election of local legislators
- Maintain permanent contact for any urgent case

Oviedo Herrera confirmed the total openness of the State Authorities to coordinate efforts with the INE, the IEEG and the political parties, so that the electoral campaigns are held in a climate of peace and security.
To date, the Government Secretary has received 36 requests from the electoral authorities that cover the attention of 165 candidates.
