Seven Guanajuatenses more return to Mexico aboard the planes that the Secretary of National Defense –SEDENA- and the Mexican Air Force –FAM- sent for the second time to the Ben Gurion International Airport, in Tel Aviv.
Susana Guerra Vallejo, head of the Secretary of Migrant and International Affairs, reported that so far there are 21 locals who have already managed to leave the conflict zone and 6 more who mobilized by their own means to try to get to a safe place.
“Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo is very aware of this issue and has asked us to help everyone and make sure that their return home is safe, calm and orderly”, said Guerra.
The secretary explained that her agency has a record that in these trips through the air bridge, 2 men from Valle de Santiago and a woman originally from Leon were considered.
Also a pregnant woman originally from Irapuato along with her 3 minor children.
“We are also in contact with two other from Leon whom we supported with the procedures for their departure from Tel Aviv to Madrid last Sunday, October 15, however, they moved from Israel to Athens by their own means”, said Guerra Vallejo
The Secretary said that they are still in communication with the people of Guanajuato who did not accept the support of the federal government and crossed the border between Israel and Jordan by land, these are 2 people from Irapuato and 2 from San Francisco del Rincon, who remain in Istanbul, safe now.
Guanajuatenses and the coflict:
- 1st Flight: 6 people all from Irapuato
- 2nd flight: 8 people (6 from Irapuato and 2 from Leon)
- Flight with air bridge: 7 people (2 from Valle de Santiago, 1 from Leon and 4 from Irapuato)
- Did not accept help: 6 people (2 from Irapuato, 2 from San Francisco del Rincon who are in Istanbul and 2 from Leon who moved to Athens on their own)
