Sectors will reinforce tourism promotion in 2024

COTUEG reaffirms commitment to work in 2024 for the tourism sector of Guanajuato

The Tourism Advisory Council of the State of Guanajuato COTUEG) reaffirmed the commitment to continue working in synergy next 2024 and contribute to the State tourism promotion strategy.

Today, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, met with 15 COTUEG councilors in the 2nd. Ordinary Session -and last of 2023-, to whom he thanked for their contribution to Tourism, an important pillar of the State’s economy.

“The advisory council is not a minor issue, it is a very important issue for one of the pillars of the economy of our State which is Tourism and, in that sense, having representatives of the different sectors that make up tourism in Guanajuato It is important,” noted Alvarez Brunel.

The Secretary pointed out that the integration of COTUEG and the representation of each of the councilors “gives us the possibility of opening that range of plurality to give visibility to the 46 municipalities and the identified travel reasons and, thus, strengthen the sector and the destinations”.

At the end of the session, the councilors thanked the Secretary and SECTUR for joining alliances in favor of the Tourism of Guanajuato, and reaffirmed their interest and participation in continuing to build, next year, the Greatness of Mexico and helping visiting tourists live Great Stories in Guanajuato.
