The Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), promotes competitiveness of micro, small and mid-size companies in the fashion industry with a strategy that promotes the strengthening of an ecosystem of the fashion industry, thereby generating local companies that are competitively global.

The new industrial era

In 2022 the State Government, through the SDES, launches the ecosystem “Fashion Industry GTO”, where the goal is to achieve transversal work in the industry to adapt to the connectivity of the new industrial era and consolidate a business ecosystem for that sector.

from growth to development

Secretary Mauricio Usabiaga Díaz Barriga said that this new strategy undertaken by the current administration of Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo seeks to move from growth to development, promoting companies that are part of the industry’s production chain of fashion.

Evolution in Fashion

The evolution of emblematic programs such as the International Fashion and Design Contest “Creare” that evolves to the consideration of design as a Fashion Business Model and the economic strategy “Guanajuato inspiration that dresses you up, November month of Fashion” with activities that strengthen the circular economy, the knowledge economy and the creative economy will be consolidated as a national benchmark for the promotion of the fashion and design industry, the result of a work of continuity and collaborative vision that evolve to generate new economic units from the business opportunities of the fashion industry.

FIMODA in November

The Fashion Business and Business Forum “FIMODA”, which links local companies in the textile, leather goods, footwear, hats and accessories sectors with large buyers through business appointments, will be held during the month of November with the participation of more than 200 supplier companies and 30 buyers.
