Merchants from the Hidalgo Market of San Luis de La Paz receive more than 5.2 million pesos

The 35 tenants who were affected in the fire on November 28 in the Mercado Hidalgo in San Luis de la Paz, received more than 5.2 million pesos for the purchase of supplies and equipment.
By instructions of the State Governor, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development -SDES- and GTO Funds designed this contingency plan for the benefit of the families of the popular market of the area.
The head of the SDES, Ramon Alfaro Gomez, met hours after the event with Mayor Luis Gerardo Sanchez Sanchez to implement a support mechanism for merchants.
Gomez said that the support was given in cards that can only be used for the purchase of supplies and equipment; the distribution of the resource was made proportionally with each of those affected according to the losses recorded.
Both the Secretary and the mayor agreed to concurrent resources for 1.2 million to give them liquidity that allows them to make inventory purchases. The support from GTO Funds was for a total of 25 financings in the amount of 2 million 845 thousand pesos.
Additionally, through the ‘Mi Plaza’ program, resources will be allocated to contribute to the reconstruction of the market; the City Administration is expected to finalize the executive project at the end of this month and tentatively begin the works in the first half of 2024.
